In her first solo exhibition, This Used To Be A Funhouse, Sammi Carr presents a range of paintings, illustrations, sculpture, animation, process works and journal entries that span over 6 years of consistent art-making.

A ‘funhouse’ is a participatory attraction. Sammi allows audiences to choose their own adventure:

Ring your loved ones on the Fisher-Price phones!

Leave a message in the dollhouse!

Flick through old journal entries that may warrant a mental health check!

Sammi’s Funhouse is her brain, her process, her work and her psyche all on display, now in the hands of audiences who can play as they please.
